Understanding the impact of kidney injury in each type of transplant is crucial for ensuring the success of the procedure and the overall health of the recipient. In this session, you will learn from patient case reports the value of NGAL in assessing AKI after liver, kidney and heart transplantation.

Empowering adolescents: Team-based multidisciplinary care

The aim of the workshop is to offer an interactive, case-based, “fireside” panel discussion looking at multidisciplinary team involvement in the care of the adolescent heart transplant patient.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES:

  1. Using two unique post-heart transplant patient journeys, explore the role and involvement of the multidisciplinary team.
  2. Highlight successful outcomes and challenges in adolescent heart transplant care.
  3. Emphasize the critical role of multidisciplinary care in supporting the adolescent transplant patient throughout their journey.
